**Description:**
The RN Clinical Nurse is an essential member of an interdisciplinary patient care team dedicated to providing high-quality, individualized care to patients and their families. They operate within a clinical environment overseen by Nurse Managers and other leaders, following the Wellstar Shared Governance Model to guide their practice. Adhering to the Wellstar Professional Practice Model and evidence-based practice, RN competencies are derived from these models and supported by the Wellstar Values.

Responsibilities include performing the Nursing Process, delivering relationship-based patient-centered care, and working collaboratively within the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective patient care. The RN Clinical Nurse practices within the scope of the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and adheres to the Code of Ethics Standards by the American Nurses Association.

Key functions consist of coordinating care, documenting patient information, participating in performance improvement initiatives, and supporting evidence-based practice and research. The individual is expected to uphold all health care system policies and procedures, maintaining a patient-centered approach and promoting a respectful, inclusive clinical environment.

Additional duties involve completing professional competency assessments, serving as a preceptor or mentor to other nurses, and actively engaging in shared governance activities. The candidate must possess strong interpersonal skills, customer service abilities, and exhibit excellent time management and critical thinking skills. Fluency in English and basic computer skills are required.
