Must-Have:
- 1 year of medical surgical / inpatient behavioral health experience
- Experience with psychiatric patients with med-surg needs
- Ability to float between inpatient medical detox and inpatient medical psych units
- Skilled in med-surg
- Comfortable with patient ratios of 6:1
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Job Description:
- Welcome to the University of Louisville Health Mary & Elizabeth Hospital as a Registered Nurse specializing in Psychiatry. You will work in the Med Surg/Psychiatry department with a focus on caring for psychiatric patients with medical and surgical needs.
- Your role will involve providing patient care, administering medications, managing behavioral health crises, and coordinating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for patients.
- The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience, including experience with psychiatric patients and med-surg care. You must have a valid RN license, BLS certification, and NVCI certification.
- This position offers guaranteed hours of 36 per week on a 13-week contract. The shift is from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with weekend hours required on a rotating basis. You will float between the inpatient medical detox and inpatient medical psych units as needed.
