**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN)

**Job Duration:** 13 weeks

**Shift:** 12-hour days, including 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule; first to float, may float to sister facility

**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week

**Experience:** Minimum 2 years (must be recent and within the past 6 months)

**License:** Active RN license

**Certifications:** ACLS, BLS

**Must-Have:**
- Strong cardiac telemetry background, preferably 2 years
- Ability to decrease cardiac drips per physicians' orders and parameters
- Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips

**Job Description:**

- Care for patients from the Emergency Department who are waiting for inpatient bed placement, primarily focusing on MS/Telemetry patients.
- Pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of receiving an offer. (Administered through RELIAS with a maximum of two attempts.)
- Participate in a PASS/FAIL SIM Lab on the first day of orientation; study guides provided.
- Handle common titratable and set-rate drips such as Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone.
- Work in collaboration with the ED charge nurse.
- Support other units by floating to med/surg/telemetry/overflow units as required.
- Adhere to the scheduled shift, including rotating holidays with permanent staff.
- Wear navy scrubs per dress code requirements.
- Engage in two shifts of department-specific orientation for Med/Surg/Tele telemetry at the primary campus.
- Assist with ED patients as needed, including taking vital signs, starting IVs, and medication administration.
- Utilize the Cerner charting system for documentation.

**Additional Notes:**

- Nurses will not be the primary RN for an ED patient assignment.
- No call or standby requirement.
- Hospital may cancel up to three times per contract—each cancellation could be a full or partial shift.
- Self-scheduling may be available, but this could change.
