**Certifications:** BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
**Must-Have:**
- EPIC experience for first-time travelers
- Comfortability to take MedSurg assignments
- Ability to read/interpret cardiac strips
**Job Description:**
- Intermediate/Stepdown Level RN position accepting first-time travelers with over one year of experience.
- Work in a mixed acuity unit with patients at Intermediate Care acuity, Telemetry, and MedSurg levels.
- Handle a variety of patient types including:
- Surgical: Urology, Appendectomy, General Abdominal Surgeries
- Ortho: Total Joints, Ortho Trauma
- Neuro/Spine: CVA, Seizures, Brain Tumors
- General Medical: Pneumonia, Renal Failure, COPD
- Patient ratios for are 1:4.
- Required skills include trach care, NGT tube management, administering blood products, and wound care.
- Drip titration experience, especially Heparin, Insulin, and Amiodarone preferred; training available if needed.
- Pod structure for the unit with support staff including CNAs and Charge Nurses.
- Orientation consists of 2 days of department-specific education and 2 shifts with a preceptor.
- May float to any adult inpatient unit if needed, within the scope of practice.
- Expected to work weekend rotations; possible every weekend schedule if open to it.
- Must comply with monthly audits focused on pre/post pain scoring compliance.
