**Job Description:**

- Assist physicians during vascular interventional radiology procedures.
- Process and store images created during procedures.
- Technical support for procedures including arteriograms, embolizations, and drain insertions.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, radiation safety, and joint commission regulations.
- Operate imaging equipment following established guidelines and imaging protocols.
- Instruct students and residents, performing preceptor duties when necessary.
- Conduct quality assurance checks on equipment.
- Maintain knowledge of hospital information systems.
- Assist in maintaining supply inventory.
- Participate in departmental performance improvement assessments and initiatives.
- Serve as a technical resource for the procedural team, supporting the physician.
- Communicate effectively with good interpersonal skills.
- Collaborate as a team member to ensure safe and efficient patient care daily.
- Perform duties of a scrub assistant during procedures, including controlling and manipulating guide wires and balloon catheters, and maintaining a sterile field.
- On-the-job training provided for interventional skills.
