**Shift:** 12-hour nights

**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week

**Experience:** Minimum of 2 years

**Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

**Must-Have:** Positive attitude, helping others, good communication skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities

**Job Description:**

- Work in a PCU with 35 beds and staff a fast-paced environment.
- Typical patient care ratios range between 1:4-5 adults and geriatrics.
- Provide care for patients with cardiac, nephrology issues, strokes, diabetes, and those requiring continuous EEG monitoring.
- Required to titrate drips including Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications.
- Support by nurse aids/patient care techs with a ratio of 1:10 or 2:20.
- Serve as or under the direction of a Charge Nurse who oversees operations on each shift.
- Follow a shift schedule from 1830 to 0700, with weekend requirements every third week and similar holiday rotations.
- No call or standby requirements; however, may float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed.
- Participate in onboarding during the first week with 1-2 days of unit-specific orientation.
- Utilize EPIC for charting in a Level 2 Trauma acute care setting.
