**License:** Certified Sterile Processing Technician

**Certifications:**
- Certified Sterile Processing Technician (CBSPD, CRCST/HSPA) required
- Certified for a minimum of 1 year
- AHA BLS (cannot be within 30 days of expiration)
- Highly desired: CER (HSPA) Endoscope Reprocessor Certification, CIS (HSPA) or CSIS (CBSPD) Instrument Specialist Certification

**Must-Have:**
- Experience in preparation and delivery of clean and sterilized instruments and equipment
- Skills in sterilizing, wrapping, organizing, and preparing medical equipment and surgical instruments into instrument trays
- Proficiency in laying out surgical gloves and gowns before medical procedures
- Competency in collecting and cleaning used and contaminated medical equipment and supplies for decontamination
- Ability to prepare and pack decontaminated tools and supplies for sterilization
- Experience in operating and monitoring sterilization equipment
- Detailed examination of supplies to ensure cleanliness
- Skilled in maintaining records of sterilization procedures and equipment maintenance
- Ability to reorder medical and surgical supplies, control inventory, and check expiration dates
- Experience in decontamination (Manual, Mechanical, HLD) and assembly with facility medical devices
- Familiarity with general instrumentation and laparoscopic instruments
- Sterilization experience in steam and low-temperature sterilization methods
- Experience in dental tray assembly and working with facility-specific equipment

**Job Description:**
- Prepare and deliver clean and sterilized instruments and equipment necessary for medical examinations, surgeries, medical carts, and clinical procedures.
- Sterilize, wrap, organize, and prepare medical equipment and surgical instruments into instrument trays for use during clinical procedures.
- Lay out surgical gloves and gowns before each medical procedure.
- Collect and manually clean used and contaminated medical equipment, supplies, and instruments for sorting and decontamination.
- Prepare and pack decontaminated medical tools and supplies for sterilization.
- Operate and monitor sterilization equipment.
- Examine supplies meticulously to ensure their cleanliness.
- Check and report any problems or issues with the sterilization equipment to supervisors and request replacements as needed.
- Maintain records of sterilization procedures, equipment maintenance, sterilized items, and supplies.
- Reorder medical and surgical supplies, control the inventory, and check expiration dates of products.
- Remove medical waste and dispose of it appropriately.

**Additional Requirements:**
- Call requirements: 6 days/month and 1 weekend/month
- Experience with pediatric patients, Arthrex, Steris, Olympus, etc.
- Royal blue scrubs required.
