**Hours per Shift:** 12-Hour (06:40 - 19:00)
**Experience:** Minimum two years of scrub experience or equivalent relevant experience required. ENT, Ophthalmology, Plastics experience required (3 or above on skills checklist).
**License:** Must have in hand upon submittal
**Certifications:** BLS (certified through American Heart Association ONLY)
**Must-Have:** Highest experience within ENT, Eyes, Plastics. The candidate must reside 50 miles from the work site location.

**Description:**
The Surgical Technologist prepares the Operating Room prior to surgery.
Promote the safety of the patient during surgery.
Provide assistance to the surgeon during surgery.
Care for the patient during surgery.
Care for the instruments and supplies used in surgery.
The Surgical Technologist functions to promote the safety of the patient as a member of the surgical team.
Possess knowledge and skills required to assist in effectively caring for patients of all age groups (neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric).
Floating may be required depending on staffing needs.
Travelers are the first to float and may have shifts scheduled in multiple units.
During the traveler's assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit to complete the contract.
Completion of a surgical technologist program or two years of experience in the Surgical Technologist role may be considered in lieu of completion of the program.
Orientation is typically about one week and consists of 20 hours.
Some holidays and weekend rotations will be required.
