**Must-Have:**
- Excellent communication skills for frequent verbal and written communications with physicians, patients, visitors, departmental staff, and nursing staff.
- Ability to function independently and under pressure while actively participating in a team environment.
- Excellent customer service skills, able to perform effectively in a stressful and fast-paced work environment.
- Detail-oriented and able to multitask effectively.
- Professional interaction skills with a variety of customers, including patients, families, co-workers, volunteers, and physicians.
- Compliance with hospital policies and established practices, protocols, and procedures.

**Description:**
The CT Technologist performs a wide variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative in the utilization of equipment for the diagnosis and/or treatment of diseases. Responsibilities include setting up equipment, positioning patients, and performing exams. They assist with providing safe, age-appropriate care to patients by performing all exams according to department procedures and ensure proper patient identification is used. The technologist must be competent in all aspects of CT, patient positioning, exposure factors, and radiation protection. They must demonstrate proficiency with loading and operating power injection and maintain competency with venipuncture.

In addition, the role involves verifying proper clinician orders, obtaining complete clinical history, and preparing the patient for procedures while ensuring patient comfort and privacy. The technologist responds to emergency situations, maintains life support equipment, restocks supplies, and ensures equipment operation. They also participate in the orientation and training of departmental employees and complete mandatory education and quality control tasks.

The CT Technologist works Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 7 PM to 7:30 AM and must wear Caribbean blue scrubs. The candidate should be willing to lend knowledge and assistance to others and maintain productivity rates equal to coworkers. Understanding anatomy and pathology and their effect on the quality of a procedure is important. The ability to comply with Joint Commission standards and any other regulatory agency standards is required.
