**Certifications:** BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
**Must-Have:**
- PCU level RN experience
- Experience with cardiac procedural recovery (CABG/TAVR/post cardiac cath), MI pharmacology
- Ability to handle titratable cardiac/vasoactive drips (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Levo, Dopamine)
- Heparin drip management
- Cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Chest tubes management
- TNK administration (preferred)
**Job Description:**
- Mixed acuity unit handling Intermediate Care, Telemetry, and Medical-Surgical patients.
- Handle direct admits, ED admits, Post Cath Lab patients.
- Manage patients with MI, NSTEMI, STEMI, CHF, dysrhythmia management, pacemaker malfunctions, epicardial pacers.
- Serve as a backup stroke unit and medical overflow.
- Facilitate step-down level care for post-cardiac/vascular procedures and surgeries.
- Perform patient assessments and administer medications.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team, including CNAs, Charge Nurses, Phlebotomists, Respiratory Therapists, and Hospitalists.
- Use Epic for charting; experience is preferred but not mandatory with prior approval.
- Rotate weekends every other week; not required to be on call.
- Work within assigned scrub color (Navy Blue).
- Participate in orientation consisting of two partial days of education and three 12-hour unit shifts.
- Floating primarily to the sister unit, General PCU; potential floatation to MS/Tele or ICU for PCU level care.
Please note that holiday expectations require working every other holiday and no time off is allowed within the first three weeks of August annually. Up to 7 days of approved time off is permitted, with an extension required if taking a full week.
