**Job Title:** Surgical Technologist

**Job Specialty:** OR (Operating Room) - CST 6210

**Job Duration:** 13 weeks

**Shift:** 8H Days (Monday-Friday 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM) + Call once a week from 3:15 PM to 6:45 AM; occasionally (once every 6 weeks) Monday-Friday 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Weekend call approximately every 4th/5th weekend, Friday 3:15 PM to Monday 6:45 AM.

**Guaranteed Hours:** 32 hours per week

**Experience:** Minimum 1 year of experience

**License:** Yes, required

**Certifications:** BLS, Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Verification, UAP

**Must-Have:**
- Proficiency in either Ortho/Neuro or General/Robotics
- Experience with Open Bellies GYN, Davinci Xi for general, and Endo

**Job Description:**

- Work in a department with 12 OR suites, 1 Endo Suite, and 1 Cysto Suite.
- Handle common cases including Peds-Geriatrics, cysto, Davinci XI for General/GYN*/Urology, ION robotic cases, Open Bellies, and experience in endoscopic/GI procedures.
- Gain exposure to ION Robot, Davinci XI, and Stryker towers.
- Participate in Ortho/Neuro cases involving total joints (hips, knees, shoulders), sports medicine, arthroscopies, neuro-spinal fusions, cervical and lumbar cases, micro discectomies, craniotomies.
- Work under a Charge Nurse available for all shifts and a manager until 4 PM Monday-Friday.
- Rotating 8-hour shifts with an on-call requirement 1-2 times per week.
- Weekend and holiday call requirements; willing to work holidays and rotate with permanent staff.
- 15-minute call response time with an 8-hour reprieve shift post-call; sleep room available, with housing nearby.
- Willingness to float to cross-train in other specialties and as a 1:1 sitter.
- Participate in 4-5 days of orientation on the unit and 2 buddy call shifts.
- Scrub color provided.
- Work in a family atmosphere.
- Use of EPIC charting system within a Level 2 Trauma Care Setting.
- Radius rule of 50 miles with upfront RTO needed for 7 or fewer days per contract; additional RTO not approved post-submission.

**Additional Notes:**
- Ability to pick up extra for 1:1 sitting to supplement hours if there's a low case volume.
