Associate Surgical Technician

Description
Under the guidance of a Surgeon, the Associate Surgical Technologist participates as a member of the perioperative nursing team and performs indirect perioperative tasks for pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients who are having surgical procedures. In addition, the Associate Surgical Technologist may be assigned to transport patients, second assisting and serve as a technical expert for a surgical service.

Required Qualifications:
- Graduation from a surgical technology program or equivalent educ/experience
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA) upon hire.
- Prior experience as surgical technologist in an acute care facility.
