**Guaranteed Hours:** N/A

**Experience:** 2 years CVICU experience, not including travel nursing

**License:** GA or Compact license must be in hand

**Certifications:** ACLS, BLS

**Must-Have:** Experience with post-open heart surgical admissions, Swan Ganz catheters, manual thermodilution syringe for Cardiac Index calculation, epicardial and transvenous pacing wires

**Job Description:**

- Work in a 42-bed ICU specializing in open heart surgery.
- Handle immediate post-open heart surgical admissions.
- Provide care using Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR systems.
- Cater to adults with advanced heart failure, multi-vessel disease, coronary artery disease, pulmonary hypertension, and valvular heart disease.
- Experience with Swan Ganz catheters and performing manual thermodilution to calculate Cardiac Index.
- Familiarity with epicardial and transvenous pacing wires.
- Assist in bedside procedures including bronchoscopies, intubations, tracheostomies, central and arterial line insertions.
- Work weekends on an every-other-weekend basis.
- Floating between units may be required.
- Expected to work major holidays based on contract duration and alignment with assignment period.
- Full compliance required before start.
- Must complete relevant modules during orientation (13 hours of non-billable time).

**Additional Information:**

- Experience working with post-surgical heart transplants and LVAD.
- Capability to manage 6-8 bypass pump surgical cases on the average daily.
- Must provide two supervisory references, ideally managers or higher.
