Travel Nurse RN

**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week

**Must-Have:** Ability to read and interpret all cardiac rhythms
**Job Description:**
- Work in a 31-bed telemetry unit, with a mix of private and semi-private rooms.
- RN-to-patient ratio is 1:4.
- Use the Cerner electronic medical records system.
- Collaborate with a shift manager and resource nurse as charge nurse support.
- Coordinate care alongside nurse aides, with two aides on day shifts and one on night shifts.
- Must adhere to weekend shift requirements, working four shifts within a four-week schedule.
- Participate in the permanent staff holiday rotation, working one major and one minor holiday.
- Wear navy blue scrubs; navy, white, or black undershirts allowed.
- Use Philips telemetry equipment for monitoring.
- Ensure 24/7 collaboration with Respiratory Therapy and Pharmacy.
- Engage in floating between different units, including MedSurg and ICU for telemetry monitoring as required.
- Complete 1-2 shifts of floor-specific orientation with a preceptor.
- Handle a variety of patients including post pacemaker, stroke, TBI, oncology with cardiac monitoring needs, and others.
- No cardiac/surgical patients directly admitted; stepdown and transfer patients expected.
- Participate in a flexible but not guaranteed block scheduling to meet unit needs.
- Be prepared for occasional shift cancellations, up to three times per contract, or compensated for full hours as per hospital discretion.
