**Job Title:** Registered Nurse - ICU

**Job Specialty:** ICU

**Job Duration:** 13 weeks

**Shift:** 12 Hour Days

**Guaranteed Hours:** 48 per week

**Experience:** Minimum 2 years of ICU experience excluding travel experience. Candidates with 1.5 years of ICU experience, accompanied by significant RN experience outside of ICU, may be considered.

**License:** Registered Nurse (RN) - Board of Nursing

**Certifications:** BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC (required)

**Must-Have:** Epic experience, comfortability working a 48-hour/week contract, experience with complex ICU patients

**Job Description:**

- Provide care to complex ICU patients including surgical, medical, cardiac, neuro, and trauma cases.
- Manage conditions such as ARDS, MI, CVA/TIA, post-cardiac cath, post-surgical, and multiple system trauma.
- Preferred (not required) experience with CABG/TAVR 24 to 48 hours post-op.
- Handle patient ratios of RN: 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3 depending on acuity.
- Perform tasks including managing IV medications (vasopressors, sedation, paralytics), hemodynamic lines, proning, ventilator management, telemetry.
- Exhibit strong critical thinking and assessment skills, and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Additional experience with Impella, IABP, and CRRT is strongly preferred.
- Willingness to float to other units, including ED and Medsurg/Tele, as needed.
- Participate in hospital orientation consisting of one 12-hour shift and one 8-hour shift in the ICU.
- Every other weekend rotation required.
- No call schedule.
- Holiday work expectations include no requests for time off during holidays.
- Adhere to time-off policies, including restrictions during specific events.
- Uniform requirement: Navy scrubs.
