**Job Title:** Sterile Processing Technician

**Job Specialty:** Surgical Services - Sterile Processing

**Job Duration:** 13 weeks

**Shift:** Night 5x8-Hour (11:00 PM - 7:30 AM, Monday to Friday)

**Guaranteed Hours:** Facility is allowed to call off one shift per two weeks.

**Experience:** 2 years in a similar role, with experience in sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrap

**License:** Must have a South Carolina RN License or be in the process of obtaining one. The license must be active before starting.

**Certifications:** CBSPD and/or HSPA required; BLS not required

**Must-Have:** Experience in Level 1 Trauma; preferred experience with Neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, ortho, Transplant, and GYN cases.

**Job Description:**

- Perform sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrap for surgical instruments
- Work night shifts with holiday rotation and one weekend per month
- Float between facilities as necessary to meet organizational needs
- First-time applicants are not accepted
- Required to participate in emergency response teams during hurricane season
- Complete mandatory modules, with an average of 4 hours spent pre-start
- Attend 16 hours of orientation
- Local candidates within a 60-mile radius considered on a case-by-case basis with adjusted rates
- All requests for time off must be submitted at the time of application.
