**Description:**
The RN Clinical Nurse is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe patient care to individuals and their families. They practice in a clinical setting under the guidance of Nurse Managers, supporting the Wellstar Professional Practice Model and evidence-based practices. The role is expected to uphold the standards outlined by the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and the American Nurses Association.

**Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:**
- Perform the Nursing Process in delivering clinical care using evidence-based practices and critical thinking skills.
- Provide patient-centered care by adapting services to reflect the diverse characteristics of the population.
- Partner with patients and their families to set goals and focus on individualized care plans.
- Coordinate interdisciplinary communication methods to ensure safe, quality patient care.
- Participate in performance improvement activities and shared governance initiatives.
- Complete ongoing professional competency assessments and mandatory education.
- Promote evidence-based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement.
- Support efficient use of resources and participate in protocol development.

**Required Minimum Education:**
- Associate's Degree in Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

**Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):**
- Registered Nurse (Single State) or RN - Multi-state Compact
- Basic Life Support (BLS), ACLS, NIHSS certifications

**Required Minimum Experience:**
- Less than 1 year of direct patient care experience

**Required Minimum Skills:**
- Ability to optimize technology for clinical care and possess basic computer skills.
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and customer service skills.
- Excellent time management, evidence-based, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
