- Competence in all aspects of CT, patient positioning, exposure factors, and radiation protection

**Job Description:**
- Provide safe, age-appropriate care by performing exams according to department procedures.
- Independently perform a variety of technical procedures using equipment for diagnosis and/or treatment of diseases.
- Verify proper clinician order for procedure and obtain complete clinical history.
- Administer contrast medias following established procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Review CT/radiographic images for clinically acceptable results and release patients as appropriate.
- Respond to emergency situations, restock crash cart, and maintain life support equipment.
- Organize schedule, time, and priorities to accomplish required activities within designated time frames.
- Follow physician instructions for procedures and demonstrate proficiency with loading and operating power injection.
- Use critical thinking skills and dialogue with patients/families to clarify orders and address questions or concerns.
- Maintain and clean equipment according to infection control policy.
- Explain the purpose and nature of exams to minimize patient anxiety and ensure cooperation.
- Participate in orientation and training of departmental employees.
- Consistently produce acceptable images, as evidenced by radiologist feedback and quality audits.
- Restock linens and supplies and maintain department in a clean and orderly condition.
- Transport and position patients, applying shielding and immobilization devices as needed.
- Keep supervisor informed of responsibilities on an ongoing basis.
- Operate all workstations associated with the CT department and maintain regulatory standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all hospital policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.
