- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Successful completion of a rhythm test
**Must-Have:** Relevant certifications and a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar setting
**Job Description:**
- Work in an 8W Step Down Intermediate Care PCU.
- Manage a unit capacity of 36 beds serving young adult through late adult patients (ages 18-60+).
- Provide care for patients requiring stepdown care including continuous BiPAP, low-dose vasopressors, and trauma care.
- Handle patients with specific conditions such as lumbar drains, CIWA on higher doses of Ativan, hyponatremia, emergency dialysis, hyperkalemia, and antifreeze ingestions.
- Care for patients on home ventilators (trachs), engage in sheath removal, and work with CEA and rhabdomyolysis cases.
- Administer medications including Precedex and fentanyl drips.
- Conduct Q2 neuro checks for stroke patients and monitor stable craniotomies.
- Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3, working within a variable staffing grid.
- Collaborate with a healthcare team including Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Patient Care Technicians, and Nurse Interns.
- Assume full responsibility for the patients under care, ensuring high standards of nursing practice.
