**Job Description:**

- Work in a 180-bed facility with an average daily census of 130.
- Responsible for routine respiratory care for all age groups from neonatal through geriatric.
- Assist with bronchoscopies as needed and manage both night and day shift SAT/SBT responsibilities.
- Respond to emergencies in the Emergency Department including codes, traumas, and severe respiratory distress.
- Engage in Level II Nursery care; perform sporadic bubble CPAP and invasive mechanical ventilation.
- Handle pediatric cases during RSV season with a focus on high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) utilization.
- Use equipment such as Drager V500 Ventilators, EV 300, and V60 Bipaps, among others.
- Deliver care to patients with conditions such as ARDS, aspiration, COVID-19, cystic fibrosis, fresh tracheostomy, and pneumonia.
- Administer medications like Albuterol, Atrovent, Bicarbonate, Combivent, and various inhaled steroids.
- Conduct ABG interpretations and chest physiotherapy; draw arterial blood gases.
- Required skills include extubation, intubation assistance, tracheostomy suctioning, and airway management.
- Engage with Care of the Infant/Child suffering from transient tachypnea and respiratory syncytial virus.
- Floating is expected to meet facility needs and may require assistance with inter-departmental transports.
- Preferred experience includes working in NICU, PICU, and Level I or II trauma centers.

**Note:** The position requires compliance with flu vaccine requirements with exemptions provided on medical or religious grounds. Vaccination against COVID-19 is not mandatory.
