**License:** Active license required by the start date

**Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, PALS

**Must-Have:**
- Two years of experience in PACU
- Skills in ambulatory/outpatient and inpatient care
- Experience with Level III Trauma Center, Pedi PACU, Phase I PACU, Phase II Recovery, and pre-post operations
- Proficient in arterial line management and dysrhythmia recognition/management

**Job Description:**

- Shifts start anywhere from 5:30 am to 10:30 am, mostly 9-hour shifts with occasional 12-hour shifts.
- Provide care in a 19-bed pre-op/same-day surgery unit and a 12-bed Phase I PACU.
- Work with a variety of patients including ENT, general surgery, surgical oncology, orthopedics, urology, breast, bariatrics, colorectal, and plastics.
- Engage in the management of numerous procedures including ENT, general, Gyn, ortho, spine surgeries, plastics, robotics, thoracic, urology, vascular surgeries, and more.
- Administer medications such as antiarrhythmics, anticoagulants, antihypertensives, emergency medications, IV vasopressors, narcotics/analgesics, and procedural sedation.
- Handle emergency scenarios involving cardiac arrest and cardioversion among others.
- Utilize advanced skill sets in central line care/management, phlebotomy, PICC line care, and starting IVs.
- Conduct pre-op assessments, education, and obtain operative/procedural consent.
- Provide care for ventilated patients, conduct airway assessments, and manage chest tubes.
- Implement protocols for isolation precautions and malignant hyperthermia.
- Manage pain assessment and PCA pump management.
- Perform pediatric patient management effectively across specific procedures.
- Rarely float between units and handle call requirements.

**Non-Mandatory (Preferred) Skills:**

- Experience in a Level II Trauma Center
- Experience in a teaching hospital
- Proficiency in Cerner
- Previous charge experience
- Additional experience with bariatrics, pacemaker insertion, pulmonary artery line/Swan-Ganz monitoring, and post-cath lab procedures.
