Muskegon Surgical Associates, PC has been providing surgical care to West Michigan since 1972. We are an independently owned multi-specialty practice consisting of 13 surgeons and approximately 100 employees. We are a growing private practice that is proud to announce that in early Summer 2024, will be opening a new Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) located in Muskegon, Michigan.
Muskegon Surgical Associates is recruiting for a part time Surgical Technologist. This position is budgeted at forty-eight (48) hours per pay period/working three days per week.

We are looking for an employee that displays excellent judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Must also have strong planning, time management, and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced medical office environment, being part of a great team. The Certified Surgical Technologist handles the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. They have an understanding of the procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon. They have the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Completion of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Surgical Technologist program or Associate of Applied Science Surgical Technology program.
National Board of Surgical Technologist and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) certification required.
BCLS certification
Minimum of 3-5 years surgical technologist experience required.
