**Job Description:**

- Work under the guidance of a Registered Nurse to ensure patient care and safety during surgical procedures.
- Provide technical assistance in the Operating Room.
- Prepare the operating room with nursing staff for surgical procedures in a timely and organized manner.
- Correctly practice the principles of asepsis.
- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize all equipment in the Operating Room and Endoscopic Lab.
- Coordinate patient care with the RN Circulator.
- Stock and replace clinical supplies items and prepare inventory sheets.
- Maintain a sterile field during surgical procedures.
- Assist the physician during surgical procedures with correct instrumentation organized and available.
- Follow verbal physician orders in the operating suite.
- Handle surgical specimens.
- Compile necessary equipment on the surgical field.
- Timely documentation of unusual occurrence reports and other departmental forms as required.
- Perform CPR as needed.
- Correctly and proficiently use all applicable instruments and equipment.
- Clean and wrap instruments for sterilization.
- Transport patients to and from the Operating Room.
- Monitor surgical equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Complete duties as a technical scrub in the Operating Room.
- Prepare room and equipment for Endoscopy procedures.
- Maintain a cooperative disposition in the Operating Room.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Holiday coverage is required.
