**Experience:** Minimum 2 years

**Certifications:** BLS (AHA)

**Must-Have:**
- Strong knowledge in Med Surg, Infectious Diseases, and Isolation precautions.

**Job Description:**

- Work in a 1E Med Surg/Infectious Disease unit with 18 private rooms.
- Provide care for patients with various infectious diseases, including COVID-19, MRSA, C-Diff, etc.
- Ensure adherence to infection control and isolation precautions.
- Administer Heparin and other typical Med Surg IV medications, antibiotics, etc.
- No requirement to titrate cardiac drips.
- Coordinate with Charge Nurse available 24/7; night charge takes a full patient assignment.
- Collaborate with 2 CNAs per shift for patient care.
- Handle patients on Cpap, Bipap, or High flow, managed by Respiratory Therapists.
- Utilize a remote telemetry system; no need to read or interpret strips.
- Participate in a flexible schedule with self-scheduling options for permanent staff; travelers scheduled as needed.
- Work every other weekend, with night shifts on Fri/Sat/Sun and day shifts on Sat/Sun.
- Potential holiday work based on unit needs; travelers may be required to work holidays.
- Be prepared for floating requirements to any Med Surg units; assignments made within skill set if floated to Telemetry.
- Follow a dress code of royal blue scrubs and optional matching scrub jackets.
- Undergo one day of EPIC charting system orientation and one day of orientation on the floor with a preceptor.

**Note:** Orientation hours are not included. The charting system used is EPIC. Cancellation policy allows for up to 2 shift cancellations per 13-week assignment.
