**Job Title:** Clinical Nurse

**Shift:** 5x8 hour shifts; 06:00-14:30 or 10:00-18:30

**Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified

**Experience:** Minimum 1 year

**License:** Current RN license for New Mexico or current Compact state license

**Certifications:**
- BLS Certification required or within 2 weeks of hire date.
- All other required certifications must be obtained within 6 months of hire date.
- Must maintain certifications throughout employment.

**Must-Have:**
- Current knowledge and skills appropriate to the age/type of patient population served.
- Effective communication skills suitable for the developmental age of patients.

**Job Description:**
- Coordinate and implement patient care specific to the patient population served on assigned units.
- Ensure quality care is provided efficiently and safely, in line with unit standards.
- Demonstrate consistent performance with the mission, philosophy, and goals of the unit and organization.
- Exhibit quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice.
- Treat staff, physicians, patients, and families with consideration and respect.
- Respond effectively to emergency/crisis situations, perform extensive standing and walking, and manage heavy physical effort.
- Capable of positioning, pushing, and transferring patients or equipment.
- Engage in reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching activities.
- Demonstrate manual dexterity and fine motor coordination.
- Ability to judge distance and space relationships, see peripherally, and distinguish different colors.
- Maintain hearing and visual acuity within normal or correctable limits.
- Work in a clean, well-lit, ventilated, smoke-free environment, subject to stressful professional relationships.
- Expected to adapt to flexible working hours due to unexpected schedule changes and emergencies.
- Participate in 1-2 call shifts per week, beginning at the end of shift until 22:00, with no weekend call requirements.
