**Shift:** Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)

**Guaranteed Hours:**

**Experience:** Minimum of 2 years

**License:** Active VA or Compact License required

**Certifications:** BLS & ACLS

**Must-Have:**
- Vent experience
- Cardiac TELE background within the past year
- PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown work setting experience
- Comprehensive respiratory proficiency (High Flow, Tracheostomy, and BiPap, ventilator experience required)
- Willingness to take on charge RN role with previous charge experience

**Job Description:**
- Provide care in an intermediate care unit focused on pulmonary care.
- Manage patients requiring advanced airway management, including those on ventilators, with tracheostomies, high flow O2, or BiPap.
- Cater to a diverse patient population, ranging from adults to geriatrics, with acute and chronic pulmonary conditions.
- Handle cases involving cardiac conditions such as CHF, Rule out MI, post MI, new onset/Unstable Angina, Pericardial disease, Cardiac drug toxicity, and pacemaker/ICD malfunctions.
- Manage patients post ICD/Pacemaker insertion, Pre/post Therapeutic Catheterization, and Dysrhythmia treatment requiring continuous infusion or oral drug therapy.
- Care for med/surg overflow patients.
- Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4.
- Utilize a range of skills including dysrhythmia management, telemetry monitoring, rapid response team use, pre/post cardiac cath care, and central and peripheral line management.
- Manage cardiac drips with and without titration and follow Heparin Protocols.
- Provide care for traumatic brain injury and ventilated patients.
- Use external CPAP/BIPAP and High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC).
- Manage tracheostomy care and follow isolation precautions.
- Utilize EPIC for patient documentation.

**Additional Requirements:**
- Must attend an EPIC class unless previous experience qualifies for an exemption.
- Willingness to work weekends and possible exposure to COVID-19 and flu vaccination requirements.
- Navy blue scrub uniform required.
- Smoke/nicotine-free facility compliance is mandatory.
