**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN)

**Job Specialty:** Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Cardiac Care Unit (CCU)

**Job Duration:** 12 months

**Shift:** 12 Hour Nights, Every Other Weekend, First to Float

**Guaranteed Hours:** 48 hours per week

**Experience:** Minimum of 2 years ICU experience preferred; first-time travelers welcome

**License:** Active RN license required

**Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

**Must-Have:**
- At least 2 years of ICU experience
- Familiarity with ventilators, arterial blood gases, arterial lines, central lines, and wound care
- Experience with titrating drips
- Understanding of ventricular, lumbar drains, and intracranial pressure monitoring preferred

**Job Description:**
- The unit comprises 36 beds: 24 dedicated to ICU and 12 to IMCU for high-acuity patients
- RNs are expected to manage a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1-2 for ICU and 1:3 for IMCU
- Handle a wide range of patients, except pediatrics and burns, including post-operation high-risk patients, trauma, surgical, cardiac, respiratory, and complex medical cases
- Required to pass the Advanced Dysrhythmia exam (minimum 83% score)
- Engage with multiprofessional teams, including intensivists and pulmonologists
- Respond to unit needs by floating between IMCU and ICU and occasionally Telemetry and Neuro
- Participate in a supportive, team-oriented environment
- Implement RN responsibilities, including troubleshooting RT equipment and interpreting telemetry strips

This position requires critical thinking and adaptability to various patient care situations in the ICU/CCU setting.
