**Job Title:** MRI Technologist

**Guaranteed Hours:** 40 hours per week

**Experience:** Minimum of 1 year of MRI experience in high volume environments preferred

**License:** State license as required

**Certifications:**
- CPR certification - BLS CPR Certification through the American Heart Association
- ARRT (R) required, ARRT (MR) preferred
- Venipuncture Certification

**Must-Have:**
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Technical proficiency operating GE 1.5T or other designated vendor scanning equipment
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Ability to work at multiple locations
- Valid state driver's license

**Job Description:**

- Operate imaging and related equipment to provide high-quality diagnostic images on various body areas, including advanced studies.
- Interview patients to explain MRI procedures and address any patient concerns, demonstrating a high degree of tact, courtesy, and poise.
- Ensure patient safety, including pre-screening for contraindications and using aseptic injection techniques.
- Communicate effectively with customers and radiologists.
- Train new technologists or Patient Coordinators, providing direction and checking work.
- Troubleshoot the scanner, coach, and peripheral equipment to ensure effective operations and prevent downtime or delays in patient care.
- Escalate complex issues to appropriate personnel when necessary.
- Demonstrate patient care skills, explaining complex medical terms and procedures in a way that is easily understood by non-medical audiences.
