**Shift:** 12-hour shifts; Day and Evening, 11 AM - 11 PM or 1 PM - 1 AM

**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week

**Experience:** Minimum 2 years

**License:** Required for submission

**Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS

**Must-Have:**
- Ability to read and interpret Telemetry/Monitor strips
- Previous experience in a Level I Trauma Center

**Job Description:**

- Work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment in an ER unit with 20 beds, 5 trauma bays, 10 observation beds, and available hallway beds.
- Handle common diagnoses and types of patients, including trauma, sepsis, chest pain, shortness of breath, and strokes, with the administration of TPA where applicable.
- Manage all common drips typically found in Level I Trauma ERs.
- Collaborate with both ED physicians and mid-level providers, ensuring effective patient care.
- Supervised by a Charge Nurse available on each shift.
- Support from nurse aides, EMTs, paramedics, and patient sitters with specified ratio duties.
- Participate in a one-week onboarding program, with two shifts in one location and one shift in another, as part of the unit/department-specific orientation.
- Subject to weekend and holiday requirements, with varied floating requirements to the Observation unit depending on department needs.
- Adherence to a 50-mile radius rule and certain employment conditions regarding affiliations with associated facilities.

Additional job requirements include adherence to the cancellation policy allowing up to 3 shifts per contract, proficiency in using the EPIC charting system, and the possession of a BSN is preferred.
