  • Schedule: Schedules available: Schedule 1 - Monday, Tuesday 5:15am-5:45pm and Wednesday 8am-8:30pm OR Schedule 2 Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 8:30am-6pm with rotating night and weekend on call shifts required.

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care for anesthetized patients in the immediate post-operative or post-procedural period.

  • Follow aseptic sterile technique according to Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses / American Society of Peri Anesthesia Nurses (AORN/ASPAN) standards.
  • Evaluate patient's responses to treatments and interventions.
  • Manage patient's pain.
  • Anticipate case-specific needs based on knowledge of procedure(s) performed and pathophysiology.
Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • One or more of the following required:
    • Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
    • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR professional licensure at time of hire required.
Additional Preferences

3+ year of RN experience

RN experience with Emergency Room, Critical Care, or Surgical Services (PreSurgery/PACU/OR)

Bachelors in Nursing
