Role Summary:

This position assists the Supervisor in carrying out all Warehouse responsibilities which include cycle counting, putting parts to stock locations from Receiving or Shop work orders, work order kitting and distribution, accurately moving and transacting parts from one location to another, and other tasks assigned by the department Managers. Inventory Control Clerks (ICCs) are well-versed in Oracle and have the ability to perform in-depth inventory research and functions including work order teardowns, resolution of negative quantity-on-hand (QOH) reports, account alias transactions, material requirement reconciliations, and creation of inventory location labels. They can also interpret indented bills and can successfully utilize item-where-used Oracle functions to resolve difficult inventory discrepancies. These functions have accountability to Accounting and Production for speed and accuracy. ICCs work with Material Handlers to complete all Warehouse priorities. All work needs to be performed safely, quickly, and accurately.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Production and other departments to maintain proper workflow, resolving concerns as they arise.
  • Administration of duties to ensure completion of major Warehouse functions including cycle counting, work order kitting and distribution, and inventory to stock.
  • Daily maintenance of dispatches, cycle count materials, and other reports required to organize daily activities in the Warehouse.
  • Ability to train all Warehouse and Inventory personnel.
  • Transact all work performed using Oracle or RF guns, completing work orders, putting material to stock, issuing material to orders, and reconciling discrepancies.
  • Creation of serial tags.
  • Ensure quality of work. Organize inventory as needed and ensure parts are stored and safely and aesthetically, to keep them free of rust and prevent damage to critical and painted surfaces.
  • Ensure inventory locations are labeled clearly and correctly, and parts are being put to stock in an organized fashion.
  • Ensure paperwork is completed and stored properly.
  • Take an active role in 6S and Safety in the department by attending meetings and correcting or reporting issues as they are found.
  • Look for way to improve current handling processes and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Ability to run a variety of dispatch and inventory reports and create work order picklists.
  • Experience using Oracle or RF guns, cycle counting, work order kitting and distribution, and inventory to stock.
  • Ability to perform in-depth inventory research.
  • Ability to complete teardown work orders.
  • Ability to perform and properly maintain material-requirements allocations.
  • Ability to create inventory location labels.
  • Ability to operate a forklift.
  • Ability to use basic computer skills, various applications, and email. (Data-entry required.)
  • Ability and desire to work safely, quickly, and accurately.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

  • Ability to do basic counting and math.
  • Willingness to listen and learn and express ideas for improvements.
  • Ability to resolve negative quantity-on-hand (QOH) reports.
  • Ability to successfully perform account alias transactions.
  • Ability to interpret indented bills and utilize item-where used Oracle functions.
