Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Experience:
- 5 years of experience with a minimum of two years in an Echo/Vascular Laboratory

License and Certifications:
- BLS certification
- ARDMS with RDCS, RVT or RVS, or CCI

Must-Have:
- Excellent communication skills
- Good computer skills
- Strong work ethic and high level of professionalism
- Understanding of cardiac and pulmonary anatomy/pathology and cardiac patient treatment
- Knowledge of vascular arterial anatomy for carotid and peripheral vasculature

Job Description:
- Perform echocardiograms and vascular ultrasound procedures of carotids, peripheral, and abdominal vessels to aid in diagnosis
- Produce two-dimensional ultrasonic recordings and Doppler flow analyses of heart and related structures
- Communicate findings and test results to physicians and respond to inquiries
- Conduct diagnostic echocardiograms, carotids, abdominal aorta screenings, ABI, and arterial studies following ICAEL and ICAVL guidelines
- Demonstrate appropriate technique for injection of IV contrast or other test-enhancing solutions
- Explain procedures to patients to ensure cooperation and reduce anxiety
- Maintain echo/vascular laboratory quality assurance database and operational logs
- Schedule laboratory studies appropriately to meet clinical needs
- Calibrate and maintain equipment, order supplies as needed
- Possess thorough understanding of IV and central line usage in diagnostic sonography
- On-call every other weekend and 3 times every other week for emergencies
- Complete and maintain required training and access for relevant Epic modules
- Adhere to holiday expectations requiring availability for 2 major holidays
