Job Summary and Qualifications

  • The Medical Imaging Spec III demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patients served in their department
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s requirements relative to his or her age specific needs, and provide the care needed as described in the departments policies and procedures
  • Provides health care services applying x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment
  • Provides assistance to the Radiologists during all Special Procedures
  • Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics
  • Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential to successful completion of the procedure. Provides services to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients

What qualifications you will need:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Demonstrates documented competence specific to Special Procedures a minimum of two years as a radiographer
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R) and advanced certification ARRT (VI)
  • Must be licensed by the State of Nevada in Radiography
