**Job Description:**

- Work primarily in an 180-bed acute care hospital with an average daily census of 130.
- You will work with all age groups—neonatal through geriatric—and a range of diagnoses.
- Assist in special procedures, including occasional bronchoscopies.
- Responsible for both nighttime and daytime SAT/SBT.
- Provide mostly routine respiratory care, with emergency department calls for codes/traumas and severe respiratory distress.
- Work in a Level II Nursery with sporadic bubble CPAP and invasive mechanical ventilation.
- Support pediatric care during RSV season involving high HFNC utilization.
- Manage equipment such as Drager V500 Ventilators and various BiPAP machines.
- Conduct patient care that includes airway management, tracheostomy care, sputum specimen collection, and more.
- Administer medications like Albuterol, Atrovent, Bicarbonate, various inhaled steroids, and more.
- Manage ventilator settings and wean from mechanical ventilation as needed.
- Knowledge of neonatal and pediatric procedures, including bubble CPAP and umbilical blood gases.
- Experience with care for conditions such as ARDS, COVID, and cystic fibrosis.
- Participate in high-risk delivery assistance and neonatal transports if needed.
- Weekend work required every other or every third weekend depending on department needs.
- On-call duty from December to April.
- Flexibility to float within scope to meet facility needs.
