Job Summary and Qualifications


Our Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs a variety of duties in preparing patients for scans of particular organs to furnish diagnostic information and measures concentration of radioactive isotopes in specified body areas. What You Will Do In This Role:


  • Under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, the Nuclear Medicine/P.E.T Technologist accomplishes one or a combination of several general radiographic procedures
  • Performs at a technical level requiring a high degree of independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply isotopes for radiographic diagnosis
  • Performs test in-patients and out-patients
  • Utilizes a variety of Nuclear Medicine cameras and varied equipment
  • Administers pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals as outlined in Nuclear Medicine Scope of Practice
  • Demonstrates industry in radiation safety
  • Check patient charts for needed exam and tests.
  • Prepare patients for exams – administers pre-medication, radioactive isotopes and transfers patient to examining table.
  • Scan the patient – making proper settings on the gamma camera.

What Qualifications You Will Need:


  • CPR required
  • State Registered Radiologic Technician
  • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology Program
  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB), or Registered Radiographer (ARRT)
  • 1 year of experience preferred, but not required
  • Must be able to successfully complete established competencies for the position within designated probationary period

We offer complex spine surgery and minimally invasive surgical options.
