**Job Description:**
- Partner with the healthcare team, including Registered Nurses and Providers, to deliver exceptional care.
- Assist with both direct and indirect care, such as monitoring vital signs, intake and output, and activities of daily living.
- Perform tasks like application of simple dressings, setting up Ophthalmology and Gynecological equipment, and assisting with orthopedic equipment for casting, traction, and splints.
- Take responsibility for obtaining blood specimens for venipuncture and handling other specimen collection techniques as ordered by the provider.
- Place patients on cardiac monitors and obtain 12 lead EKGs within 10 minutes of arrival if certain criteria are met.
- Assist with managing patients requiring additional infection control protection and behavioral health populations.
- Play a role in the department's quality metrics, including blood collection turnaround times, length of stay, and throughput.
- Ensure stock and supplies are maintained in patient care areas for efficient and safe care.
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding any patient clinical status or safety concerns.
- Maintain a clean environment in compliance with regulatory agencies.
- Handle physical demands like frequently moving heavy objects over 50 lbs and assisting patients with mobility.
- Attend mandatory in-services and staff meetings as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned while working with patients of all ages and needs.
