Job description:
Not patient facing, in a lab setting
Will perform supervised laboratory procedures associated with human in-vitro fertilization (IVF) and all pre-implantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) procedures

Required Licensure & Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in biology

Skills required:
Need to be comfortable with all aspects of assisted reproductive procedures including: media preparation, egg insemination/fertilization, egg clean-up/score of fertilization, embryo culture, grading, assisted hatching, intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), embryo transfer, embryo freeze, embryo thaw, and embryo biopsy
Orders, receives, inspects, and stores culture media.
Maintains all inventories, performs all quality control, and maintains proper operation of equipment per clinic standard
Will perform identification and isolation of human oocytes from follicular fluid at the same time of aspiration. Prepares reagents for preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD), assuring proper pH of each reagent using pH meter
Will prepare and forward the Embryology Laboratory Charges Report to the billing specialists at the end of each IVF procedure
Will enter appropriate patient information into databases in timely manner
EMR: EPIC - preferred (training will be done on EPIC)
