Job Purpose

Industry leading biotechnology manufacturer is actively seeking an enthusiastic entry level Laboratory Technician generalist for a processing laboratory. We encourage candidates who are passionate about working in a lab setting environment to apply.

Duties and responsibilities

• Process and label samples (blood, tissue etc.)
• Ensure that all safety guidelines are followed strictly at all times and maintain a clean and orderly environment.
• Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Google Docs.
• Record all data and results in specified forms (paper and electronic) with accuracy and responsibility.
• Prepare samples by filtering and aliquoting material. Process orders per the clients' requirements and SOPs.
• Assists with general upkeep of laboratory, including maintenance of equipment and inventory of consumable supplies.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Other duties may include:

• Performing data and record keeping.
• Completing monthly safety equipment checklist.
• Able to show some flexibility in working hours when needed.
• Ability to work autonomously and under pressure.
• Practice safe work habits, including complying with all safety, health, and environmental rules and regulations.
• Assist with essential business processes as needed.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate ability to quickly and proficiently understand new information.
• Demonstrate ability to exercise standards of professionalism, including appearance, presentation, and demeanor.
• Demonstrate ability to coordinate multiple processes and manage deadlines.
• Must have strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
