POSITION SUMMARY:

The Vice President, Quality Clinical Operations for Lifepoint Rehabilitation is responsible for driving organizational quality and clinical performance outcomes, while providing oversight to the clinical and operational needs of the Rehabilitation Division. The Vice President ensures the Division is performing at or above regulatory requirements and national benchmarks. The Vice Presidents infuses collaboration (facility, Division, JV partnership, Health Support Center) to delivering on expected quality and operational benchmarks. The Vice President leads the Division through a shared vision and purpose regarding exceptional patient care, advancing Lifepoint Health's National Quality Program.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Builds alliances and leads a highly matrixed healthcare systems; with demonstrated honesty, integrity, and follow through on commitments.
* Anticipates internal/external customer needs and meets or exceeds these expectations.
* Shares systemwide best practices across the Division, demonstrating working knowledge of the healthcare system and its component parts, including sites of care, delivery models, payment models, and the roles of healthcare professionals, patients, caregivers, and unlicensed professionals.
* Establishes standards for setting measurable, realistic outcomes with timelines and accountability across the Division.
* Stays abreast of rehabilitation industry trends, regulatory changes and advancements in healthcare management practices to continuously enhance processes and drive ongoing improvement initiatives.
* Demonstrates business and economic principles and practices, including cost-benefit analysis, budgeting, strategic planning, human and other resource management, marketing, and value-based purchasing.
* Collaborates with healthcare professionals, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate improvement opportunities.
* Collaborates closely with hospital and contract management leaders to align goals, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and facilitate cross-departmental collaborate to achieve shared objectives and outcomes.
* Provides leadership, guidance, and mentoring to other leaders.

Primary Focus:

* Provides leadership and guidance for the Quality Performance Team and field leadership related to quality, regulatory and accreditation, and compliance with Federal, State and Local regulatory and Lifepoint Health's National Quality Program.
* Oversees, and assist as needed, the implementation of new hospitals (start up and acquisition) regarding standardization of Policies and Procedures, Program Standards, licensure, and regulatory and accreditation compliance.
* Develops and fosters strong working relationships and communication at all levels of the organization. Fosters an environment of collaboration and communication between Division and hospital teams to ensure timely implementation of new strategies and coordinate implementation of corrective strategies to resolve problems or situations that may arise.
* Participates as a member of the management team in developing the overall strategic plans necessary for short- and long-term success. Assess operating business risks and opportunities and identify strategies to mitigate or capitalize as appropriate.
* Responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of clinical processes. Provides timely, accurate and complete reports on the clinical outcomes of the company.
* Assists in the recruitment, selection, and retention of highly qualified professionals.

Education:

* Master's degree in nursing business or healthcare related field

Experience:

* 5 years' progressive leadership experience in a multi-hospital rehabilitation leadership role

Certifications:

CRRN preferred

Licenses:

* Licensed as appropriate in the State of practice.
