Position: Full-time Night Shift Custodian

* Hours: 2:00pm - 10:00pm or 3:00pm - 11:00pm Dependent on school assignment
* No experience needed

* Starting hourly pay $18.00

Requirements:

* High school diploma.


* Must possess valid NJ driver's license.


* Black Seal license required.


* Minimum of 2 years prior custodial/maintenance experience in an educational environment preferred.


* Ability to climb ladders and lift upwards of 50lbs.


* Knowledge of handling hazardous materials.


* Basic computer skills and experience with facilities management programs such as SchoolDude.


* Previously trained in snow removal efforts.


* Advanced communication skills a plus.



Performance Responsibilities:

* Reports directly to Director of Buildings and Grounds


* Clean and maintain all areas assigned to.


* Assist with general repairs to the limit of ability.


* Assume partial responsibility for security of building assigned to.


* Maintain a safe, functional and aesthetically pleasing building and grounds conducive to an adequate learning environment.


* Move furniture/equipment as required for various activities and as directed by the Principal and Director of Buildings and Grounds.


* Report any damage/vandalism or building operation irregularities immediately to the Director of Buildings and Grounds.


* Store and dispose of trash/waste and recycling according to accepted procedures.


* Obey all fire safety and environmental code compliances and regulations related to standard operating procedures, determined by state law.


* Practice common safety methods as they relate to the Right To Know program, Slips/Trips/Falls prevention, Lock Out-Tag Out protocol, Indoor Air Quality, AHERA, etc.
