POSITION SUMMARY

The Ultrasonographer operates various ultrasound/Doppler equipment to perform ultrasound examinations on patients, including but not limited to, general US, and vascular US. Candidates must carry out their duties in a caring and compassionate manner following established standards and practices. Must provide excellent customer service to patients and family members. Rotational schedule required. Minimum availability of one (1) minor and/or one (1) major holiday per year required. Weekend availability required.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to lift and carry or move heavy objects approximately 50 lb.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must have dexterity of hands and fingers in order to utilize tools, utensils, equipment, etc.
  • Ability to kneel, bend or stoop in order to complete job responsibilities at very low or floor levels.
  • Ability to visually perceive depth, distance, read material, and view documents with or without corrective lenses.
  • Ability to hear inquiries form patients, physicians, clients and staff.
  • Must have the ability to work in varying degrees of lighting for extended periods of time.
  • Annual Flu shot of declination required.
  • Covid vaccination + booster or weekly testing required.

EDUCATION

Satisfactory completion of an approved Ultrasound Technology Program.

CERTIFICATIONS
  • ARDMS and RVT Required - Certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. If no RVT certification must gain certification within 6 months.
  • BLS/CPR required post hire of 6 months.
