Purpose:

The APA-accredited doctoral program in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) at Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, PA invites applicants for a core faculty position beginning in Fall 2024. The department seeks a candidate with training in clinical neuropsychology consistent with the Houston Conference guidelines and the ability to teach courses in psychological and neuropsychological assessment, assessment practicum, and foundational courses, such as Biological Bases of Behavior. This is a full-time (12-month) position, with rank and tenure track negotiable.

The Chestnut Hill College Psy.D. program has been fully accredited by APA since 2004. The program employs a practitioner-scholar model to prepare students for the practice of health service psychology. The program emphasizes the development of culturally competent clinical skills, buttressed by psychological knowledge, and refined through intensive practice in the classroom and during supervised field placements. The program's theoretical orientation is a complementary blend of psychodynamic and systems theory. The program also features optional concentrations in psychological assessment and couple, family, and child psychology.

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

* Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited doctoral program.
* Active involvement in relevant clinical practice, supervision, or consultation.
* Significant contributions to service and scholarship (or have demonstrated interest in future service and scholarship).
* Commitment to a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility.
* Ability to work in a collaborative and collegial department.
* Support the mission and core values of the College.

Preferred Experience:

* Licensed or license-eligible in Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities:

* Contribute to the Psy.D. Department and College in the areas of teaching, service, and scholarship.
* Teach two doctoral-level courses for each of the three semesters; your courses are based on area(s) of expertise and the departmental needs.
* Serve as an academic advisor and mentor for doctoral students.
* Supervise doctoral students' dissertations and serve as a reader on comprehensive exams and dissertation committees.
* Serve on department and College committees, as interested/assigned.
* Assist in enrollment management, including new student application review and interviewing.
* Provide two didactic trainings per year in our APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship consortium.
* Engage in all other usual duties that are associated with a full-time faculty appointment.
* Additional opportunities:
* One release day each week to maintain your active involvement in clinical practice, supervision, or consultation.
* Supervise trainees in our assessment and psychotherapy training clinic.
