Job Description
Adelphi is seeking a full-time Behavior Consultant/Psychologist/LCSW to provide behavior intervention strategies for public school students in New Jersey. The ideal candidates shall provide continuous support to the overall educational environment by utilizing effective behavioral strategies to address student behaviors and will provide In home and school base Consultation and training Services. Job Quick Facts: Ref#:BD-588-04 • Profession: Allied Health • Speciality: Psychologist/LCSW • Location: Somerset, New Jersey • Job Type: Contract • Faclity Type: School • Start Date: July 1, 2024 • Schedule:7 hours per day, Monday through Friday • Rate: $ 80 Requirements: • Masters Degree with a major in psychology or a related field. • Successful experience with Applied Behavior Analysis. • Valid Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) professional certificate, or National School Psychologist Certificate. • NJ DOE certification. • New Jersey licensure requirements. • Experience working with teachers, students and parents. Responsibilities: • In home and school base Consultation Services. • Family Training, Behavioral Support and Behavioral Therapy Services. • Behavioral Therapy, Support, Consultation, and Family Training Services. • Facilitate team meetings with the identified student's teachers and parents for the purpose of completing a Functional Behavioral Assessments. • Facilitate team meetings that design Behavior Interventions Plans; address classroom organization, effective instruction, social skills instruction, and ethical issues. • Work with entire staff on issues such as: crisis intervention, learning and collaboration issues, and factors that can affect development and implementation of interventions. • Promote highly specialized positive behavior interventions in which "at risk" students thrive • Use ongoing assessments to maintain a record of student progress. • Create fair and equitable assessments to assess higher-order thinking and problem solving as well as individual skills, knowledge, and understandings. • Model good assessment processes that assist students in assessing their own work and behavior. • Supervise students to ensure a safe, non-threatening, nurturing environment where students can thrive. • Maintain accurate records of assessments, interventions, and progress notes. • Attend IEP meetings and provide consultation to school personnel. • Other duties as assigned by administration
