DESCRIPTION

Decypher is seeking a Certified Respiratory Therapist to support Wright Patterson AFB, OH.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Operates, calibrates, cleans, disinfects, and sterilizes specialized equipment to evaluate cardiopulmonary functions and cardiopulmonary physiology
* Performs pulmonary function test to include but not limited to spirometry, oxygen dilution, and lung volumes
* Under orders of a physician, administers respiratory care to include but not limited to oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, mechanical ventilator management, and preparation and administration of respiratory medications
* Assists critical care physicians with invasive procedures to include but not limited to: intubation, extubation, chest tube placement, arterial placement, and thoracentesis
* Draws and analyzes arterial blood gas samples
* Determines disposable supply inventory level; stocks accordingly, restock excess supplies, and report to replenishment requirements to departments supply custodian
* Attend/conduct meetings and training regarding respiratory therapy

QUALIFICATIONS

* Associates Degree
* Licensed Respiratory Therapist
* 1-year experience performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to care for and treat pulmonary laboratory patients.
* Must be available to work days and nights
* Basic Life Support (BLS)
* Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
* US Citizen
* NACI background check
