The Litigation Paralegal supports the commercial litigation and litigation support functions within the Corporate Counsel Division, including attorneys, litigation support manager, specialists, clerks, and legal hold discovery analyst.

* responsible for Legal process intake, review, assignment, and tracking
* responsible for litigation case management
* responsible for assisting with management of litigation discovery
* responsible for assisting with proactive management of claims/recovery

Required Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent
* At least five (5) years in a paralegal, legal assistant or other support position in a law firm or corporate law department
* Research and writing techniques.
* Ability to multi-task and effective time management skill
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Ability to work independently
* Ability to be detail oriented
* Ability to maintain confidentiality
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word
* Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
* Intermediate knowledge of PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

* Associates Degree, or higher, in any field
* At least seven (7)years' experience as a litigation paralegal or litigation legal assistant in a law firm or corporate legal department
* Paralegal Certification
* Knowledge of Publix litigation-related policies and forms
* Publix systems and resources for storage and retrieval of data and information necessary to respond to discovery requests and to defend cases
