Job Summary:
Administrative summer employment.Sum Camp is a month-long summer camp for rising 4th graders in the Waterville Public Schools. It aims to develop essential mathematical skills by combining theatre, art, music, and mathematics. We will be hiring 2 Camp Assistants to work at the camp. Duties include participating in camp activities, helping children to participate in camp activities, and assisting with camp administration as necessary. Aides should have extensive experience working with children and should be able to communicate positive, encouraging attitudes about mathematics. Preference will be given to applicants with expertise in visual or performing arts, math education, or experience and/or training in working with children from adverse. Aides will need to be available for work on July 6-8 (for training) and Monday - Friday, July 11 - 29 (for the camp). The pay is $15/hour and aides will be expected to work at least 4-5 hours per day while the camp is in session. Applicants will need to undergo a background check.
