Description

Job Overview:

Whitetail Disposal, Inc. is seeking qualified Class A or B CDL drivers to join our team and work predetermined waste collection routes. Each driver will operate locally and be home every night.

Wage:

Starting at $25/hr based on experience and eligible for quarterly bonuses up to $650.

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the assigned vehicle to ensure it is in proper working condition.

2. Safely drive and operate a commercial motor vehicle (garbage truck) according to work rules while complying with all local, state, and federal laws.

3. Haul, lift, and load items and materials into the truck.

4. Drive to the disposal facility and properly dispose of the load.

5. Maintain a courteous and cordial manner with all customers encountered on the route.

Position Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Must possess a Class A or Class B CDL.

2. Must pass a DOT medical exam and drug screen.

3. Must keep both CDL and DOT medical card in good standing.

4. Subject to yearly Motor Vehicle Records (MVRs) checks.

5. Must pass a road test as part of the hiring process.

Physical Requirements:

1. Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, bend, twist, lift, and carry as required.

2. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

3. This job involves working both in and out of the truck and requires exposure to various weather conditions daily, including heat, sun, rain, snow, and wind.
