Logan Regional Medical Center is seeking a PRN Respiratory Therapist to preparing for and providing patient care. The Respiratory Therapist will be performing the following duties:

* Delivers routine therapy as delegated by a therapist.
* Responds to codes and calls for emergent assistance. Assesses patient condition and delivers appropriate treatment.
* Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition.
* Educates the patient and family about the patient's illness and provides information about community support groups and other resources.
* Monitors, receives, stocks, and distributes respiratory care supplies and medical gas cylinders.
* Maintains storage areas with required supply levels and equipment.
* Disassembles, cleans, and sterilizes equipment, and performs preventative maintenance and calibration of machines.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Requirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skills and/or abilities.

* To perform in this position satisfactorily requires completion of a Respiratory Therapist training program, credentialing as Registered Respiratory Therapist training program, credentialing as Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care or eligible to take the Written Registry exam and Clinical Simulation exam.
* Must also hold a current license as Licensed Respiratory Therapist from the West Virginia Board of Respiratory Care.
