**Pay:** $26-28/hr
**Shift:** 8:00-5:00 (flexible schedule either 4x10s or 5x8s, Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday)
**Job Type:** Contract
**Location:** Indianapolis, IN
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Perform a wide range of laboratory tests on patient samples including blood, urine, and other body fluids, using manual and automated techniques.
+ Analyze test results for accuracy, completeness, and validity. Identify any abnormal or inconsistent results and troubleshoot as necessary.
+ Ensure compliance with laboratory quality control procedures and regulatory standards. Participate in quality assurance programs and proficiency testing to maintain high standards of accuracy and precision.
+ Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments. Troubleshoot instrument malfunctions and perform routine maintenance tasks.
+ Record and maintain accurate documentation of test results, including entering data into laboratory information systems (LIS). Maintain confidentiality of patient information and laboratory records.
+ Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, laboratory staff, and other stakeholders regarding test results, procedures, and any issues or concerns that arise during testing.
+ Stay current with advances in laboratory technology and methodologies. Participate in research projects and contribute to the development of new laboratory tests and procedures.
+ Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks of exposure to infectious agents, hazardous chemicals, and other safety hazards.
**Education/Experience:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or meet local regulatory CLIA State requirements.
+ Minimum 2-4 years of clinical laboratory testing experience is required.
+ ASCP or AMT certification is preferred.
+ Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
+ Must be able to pass a standardized color vision screen.
