SUMMARY

* Maintain all company equipment in the field at Customer locations or breakdown locations for safe and efficient operation.
* Perform preventative maintenance and inspection.
* Perform safety inspections in accordance with FMCSA 49 CFR 396.
* Diagnose and repair minor engine issues using specific manufacturer software systems.
* Repair or replace brakes, wheel seals, suspension parts and coupling devices.
* Diagnose and repair electrical and pneumatic issues.
* Repair or replace chassis, suspension and axle components including, but not limited to: air bags, shocks, brakes, ABS modules, air tanks and lines.
* Repair or replace flooring, rub rails, doors, door seals, wall and roof panels.
* Perform general repairs to company equipment.
* Maintain regular and reliable attendance

OTHER SIGNIFICANT JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE

* Partner with drivers, dispatchers, and leadership to perform necessary repairs, maintenance, or inspection or troubleshooting of various service issues:
* Intake of road service calls to help drivers during emergency breakdowns
* Comply with company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations.
* Additional duties as assigned by Leadership and Customer.

Requirements

* High School Diploma
* 2+ years of experience as a technician/ diesel technician is preferred
* Knowledge of shop equipment
* Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
